About the Founder

Performance Career
Dominique Atwood-Hamilton, a trailblazing force in the performing arts, started her journey at Jeraldyne's School of Dance in Dayton, OH, before honing her craft at the prestigious Stivers School for the Performing Arts. Her dance journey led her to Howard University, where she co-founded I.Am.We, the campus's first contemporary dance company, while earning a Magna Cum Laude B.A. in Political Science/Pre-law.
Venturing onto global stages, Dominique performed alongside icons like Mary Mary, J.Cole, Wale, Raheem Devaughn, Natalie Cole, Shirley Ceasar and Dionne Warwick and worked with household names like Under Armour and MTV. She's been featured on tv, film and highlighted in several publications. She spent a significant chapter of her career touring as a principal dancer with the renowned Deeply Rooted Dance Theater.
A multifaceted artist, Dominique's award-winning choreography has been showcased at the Youth America Grand Prix (1st place), the Universoul Circus, the Miss Intercontinental Pageant and world-class stages including the Kennedy Center and the Harris Theater. She’s been privileged to teach at prestigious universities including Georgetown University, Howard University, University of Chicago, Loyola University and Southern Illinois University. Recognized for her exceptional contributions to the dance community, she received an invitation to the Celebration of Black Women in Dance hosted by former First Lady Michelle Obama. Demonstrating her continued impact and commitment to the arts, she was recently appointed to the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events Advisory Committee.

Transitioning from performance, Dominique delved into arts management, lending her expertise in production management, fundraising, marketing, and strategic planning for small to large-size arts organizations. Presently, as the Founder and CEO of Dance Connect Worldwide, Dominique spearheads a premier production house and staffing agency. Through her leadership, the organization has facilitated over 80 jobs/opportunities in the marketplace for artists, invested thousands in creative projects, and impacted over 30,000 audience members.
Dominique is thankful for the gift of dance and gives the Most High all the praises. Her greatest love is her husband Elijah and daughters Genesis and Eden.
